Use your own domain
Buy a domain or connect one you already own, and assign it to your published web app.
From your avatar (top right), “My domains” manages your own domains so you can serve a published web app at an address like yourbrand.com.
It has three tabs: “Add domain”, “Registered domains” and “External domains”.
Buy a new domain
- In “Add domain”, type the name you want and click “Search”. You will see its availability and its price per year.
- Choose one or more extensions and add them to the cart. Some extensions require a minimum number of years.
- Click “Pay”. The domain is charged to your card (it is not deducted from your balance), so you need a card and a billing address.
If the registration fails, the payment is refunded automatically.
The domain is managed by Mobincube AI and you can transfer it to another provider at any time.
If an extension is not supported, “We don't support that extension yet” appears. You can buy it from another registrar (for example, Namecheap, with “Search on Namecheap”) and add it with “Add as external”.
Connect a domain you already own
- In “Use existing domain”, type the domain and click “Add”.
- At your DNS provider, create the records shown.
- Click “Verify”.
DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours.
The “Name / Host” field depends on the provider: some expect only the part shown (for example “test”, or “@” for the root domain) and others the full name (for example “test.example.com”). If one format does not work, try the other.
Assign a domain to your web app
- Publish the web app (see the article “Publish a web app”).
- Open the project settings, “Publications” tab.
- On the web app, choose the domain in the domain selector.
If none appears, add it first in “My domains” (“No available domains. Add one from “My domains”.”).
Domain statuses
- Unassigned: the domain is not assigned to any web app.
- Pending DNS: the DNS records are missing or have not been checked yet.
- Propagating: the DNS changes are spreading.
- Active: the domain is already serving your web app.
- Registering: the purchase is in progress.
- Owned: the domain has been purchased.
Common errors
- “The domain you entered is not valid.”: check how it is written. It must look like example.com.
- “That domain is already in use.”: that domain has already been added, by you or by someone else. Choose another one.
