Integrations and secrets
Connect your app to services such as Stripe and store their API keys securely.
Integrations
Integrations connect your app to third-party services, for example Stripe to take payments.
To add one:
- Open the Project map (project menu).
- Click “Add integration” and choose the service.
- The integration appears on the map and its empty secrets are created. You only need to paste the values.
You can also ask for an integration through the editor chat.
Secrets
Secrets are the API keys, tokens and third-party credentials that your app needs. They are managed in the project settings, “Secrets” tab.
- “Add secret”: enter the name, the value and the visibility:
- “Public”: can be seen in the app.
- “Server-only”: only used by the backend.
- “Build pipeline”: only used when building.
- “Where it applies”: the whole project, all apps of a platform or a specific app.
- Secrets marked “Needs value” need you to enter their value with “Fill”.
- Secrets of an integration are edited from the project map, by opening the integration.
Secrets are stored encrypted and are never stored in the code.
