How balance and tokens work
What uses balance, how to see your consumption and what to do if your balance is insufficient or negative.
Every interaction with the AI uses tokens from your balance:
- Chat prompts.
- Creating apps.
- Automatic fixes for build errors (“Fix with AI”).
The cost depends on the AI model you choose and the complexity of the task.
How much will my app cost?
It is not possible to know in advance how many tokens an app or a change will need: it depends on the complexity, the scope of the changes, the errors that come up and how detailed your prompts are. Spending a certain amount of tokens does not guarantee that the app will be finished.
To spend less:
- Write detailed prompts.
- Ask for changes one at a time.
- Use the Auto model.
See your balance and consumption
Your balance is shown in the top right corner.
Under your avatar > “My consumptions” (or Billing > “My consumptions”) you will find the detail of each consumption: date, project, tokens, type (Prompt, Creation or Build) and cost. You can filter it by project.
Insufficient or negative balance
- “Insufficient balance”: you do not have enough balance to send the prompt. Buy tokens or subscribe.
- “Negative balance”: your balance is negative. Add funds before publishing or generating a preview.
To create a new project you need a minimum balance of $3.
